Scope and contact

This website is operated by ReSecure GmbH, 8166 Niederweningen, Switzerland. This notice applies to the public product website at www.womodesk.com and its contact form. If you have questions about the processing of your data, or wish to request access, correction or deletion, email hello@womodesk.com.

Visiting the website

When you access the website, your browser transmits technically necessary data to the web server. This may include your IP address, the date and time of access, the requested address, the previously visited page, browser type and operating system. This data may be processed in standard server logs in order to deliver the website, identify faults and protect its technical operation. The scope and retention of these logs depend on the server configuration.

Regional content and currency display

To display prices in the appropriate currency and show information about regional features, the web server assigns the technically visible IP address to a country using a local MaxMind GeoLite2 database. The display uses only whether the country code is CH. For CH, the website displays CHF and the note about the Swiss QR payment part; otherwise it displays EUR without this note. The result is not stored, and no request is made to MaxMind or another service for the lookup. If no country can be resolved, the website displays EUR and no Switzerland-specific feature note. The binding invoice currency is determined later from the company country on record.

Contact form

When you use the contact form, we process the information you enter in order to review and answer your enquiry. Your first name, last name, email address, rental business and message are required. You may also provide your phone number, fleet size and area of interest. The selected language, your confirmation of consent and technical fields used to detect misuse are processed as well.

The web server sends the information to the fixed Womodesk contact mailbox through the configured SMTP and email infrastructure. Your email address is used as the reply address. The website does not create a separate customer database for contact enquiries. Further retention of an enquiry depends on its handling and the settings of the mailbox used. The contact form does not pass your information on for advertising purposes.

Protection against misuse and rate limiting

To protect the public form, the number of submission attempts per IP address is limited on the server. For this rate-limit store, the IP address is transformed into a SHA-256 hash. The raw IP address is not written to this store. The hash and timestamps of attempts are stored. A ten-minute period is considered; older entries are removed when the store is next processed.

The rate-limit store is separate from standard server logs. As described above, those logs may contain an IP address for technical reasons.

Cookieless audience measurement

We use Womodesk's own audience measurement to understand use of the product website in aggregate. The browser sends pageviews and selected interactions to app.womodesk.com. The data comprises the host and path without a query string, the referring page also without a query string, separately captured UTM parameters, language, time zone, screen and viewport dimensions, and the time and technical name of an event.

The tracker sets no cookies and sends no user or device ID, IP address, email address, name, form content, credentials, token or code. Sensitive paths are suppressed completely. Selected interactions include product and language navigation, contact and sign-in selections, and submission of a valid contact form. Events use only fixed technical names and limited, non-personal scalar properties.

As with any server connection, the IP address is technically visible in transit. The Womodesk backend combines it with a normalized browser characteristic and the fixed site key to create an installation-specific pseudonymous hash. The raw IP address and full user agent are not stored in analytics data. Before discarding the address, a local MaxMind GeoLite2 database may coarsely assign it to a country, region and city; coordinates are rounded. No request is made to MaxMind or another analytics service.

Global Privacy Control (GPC), Do Not Track (DNT), and your local Womodesk setting are respected. If you disable audience measurement here, your browser stores only the value 1 under womodesk.analytics_opt_out in local storage. This setting exists solely for the opt-out and is not sent to the server.
